Games
The You & Me Card Game Ages: 6-12 Players: 2-4
Designed to simulate a standard 52-card deck with a twist. Instead of numbers, there are 13 different children. The suits are four social skills areas, including: Having Fun, Inviting a Friend, Talking, and Solving a Problem. As children play the game, they make up stories that demonstrate social awareness using the 13 different character cards. The directions suggest 4 ways to play but they can be used dozens of other ways.
The Helping, Sharing, and Caring Game Ages: 4-11 Players: 2-6
Helps children develop critical communication and social skills. This game focuses on such important issues as self-esteem, manners, safety, ethics, values, health, consideration for others, interpersonal relations, the value of learning, sympathy, empathy, and competence. Playing the game can facilitate communication, enhance feelings of self-worth and improve interpersonal relations.
Stop, Relax, & Think Ages: 6-12 Players: 2-6
Helps impulsive children develop the skills they need to self-regulate, become aware of their feelings, and learn relaxation techniques. It is also a valuable tool for children with mood and anxiety disorders. Playing the game can increase hope, correct cognitive distortions, and improve problem-solving skills.
The Anger Solution Game Ages: 7-12 Players: 2-4
What Did You Say? Ages: 6-12 Players: 3-6
Teaches children to read and interpret nonverbal language based on picture cues.
